Does the brewing time affect the flavour?
Yes. A longer steep generally creates a stronger and more intense flavour, while a shorter steep produces a lighter cup. Feel free to adjust the brewing time to suit your taste.
How much tea should I use for each brew?
For teapot brewing, use approximately 1/5 of the teapot with tea leaves, or enough to lightly cover the bottom. You can adjust the amount according to your preferred strength.
Can I make ShianPiin Tea as a cold brew?
Yes. Our tea can be cold brewed for a smooth and refreshing experience. We recommend approximately 1g of tea per 100ml of water and refrigerating it overnight.
How many times can I steep the tea leaves?
Many of our whole-leaf teas can be steeped multiple times. Oolong and aged teas can typically be enjoyed through 6 or more infusions, with the flavour developing differently with each steep.
What is the best water temperature for brewing tea?
The ideal temperature depends on the tea. Oolong and aged teas generally work well around 95°C, while Black Tea and Queen’s Tea are best brewed around 85–90°C.
How should I store my tea?
Store your tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat, and strong odours. Keep the package sealed to preserve its freshness and aroma.
